Taxonomy and Terminology
This subcommittee has been tasked to develop a comprehensive classification system for the organization of recognized bloodstain pattern types and a companion lexicon for use in describing these patterns.
The chair of this subcommittee is Stuart James of James & Associates Forensic Consultants.
The other members of this subcommittee are Phillippe Esperanca of IGNA (in Nantes, France), Victor Gorman RCMP (retired), Jeremy Morris of the Johnson County Kansas Sheriff's Office Crime Laboratory, and Paulette Sutton.
In accordance with the SWGSTAIN Bylaws, Section VI (D), any approved SWGSTAIN draft document or work product must be offered for public comment. Comments made in writing will be formally addressed by the appropriate SWGSTAIN Subcommittee and the response(s) published using SWGSTAIN.org.
